Hello to all!

I confess to being another lurker - have been for about 6 weeks. I am
in the midst of pursuing an MN and have just returned home from a
particularly frustrating class. Three public health nurses and I engaged
in a spontaneous "debate" about the role of nurses in supporting
breastfeeding (I now pay close attention to the spelling of this
word!). You know their perspective - "we wouldn't want to make anyone
feel guilty" and so on. I felt like I was banging my head against a
brick wall as I noted the risks and cost of artificial feeding, and how
breastfeeding empowers women.

Anyway, the point is that it was so energizing and comforting to know
that when I returned home, checked on my boys and made a cup of tea,
there would be LACTNET to read through. At the risk of sounding
sentimental about 1700 people whom I never even met, I've gained so much
from you that I thought I should finally at least say hello and thank
you!
