<< Baby was vomiting with breastfeeding. Mom went off all
dairy for one week with no improvement. >>
I do not have experience/info about the rest of this post, but one thing I do
Know is that one week is not sufficient time for the mother's body to rid
itself of the offending proteins in cow's milk. Two weeks is what I have read
over and over, namely in Morbacher and Stock's Breastfeeding Answer Book (pg.
266, 1991 ed.)
Good luck. Is the mother at all interested in a second opinion? If there are
breastfeeding friendly/knowledgeable doctors in your area, this could be a
real lifesaver--that way, even if breastmilk truly is the problem, she will at
least know that everyone gave her genuine, competent help.
