Hey everyone -- I'm back! Had a GREAT time in Australia -- wonderful
conference -- nice people, great food, etc. etc. etc. Sydney was absolutely
beautiful, and Melbourne was also very nice. It was great fun to meet lots
of LactNetters in person, and yes we did have a LactNet lunch and Leslie
McBurney even took a photo. I've missed LactNet dreadfully, and have to
control myself not to go back and read two weeks worth of digests before
I've had a chance to catch up on my sleep. Australia is so far ahead of the
US in breastfeeding that it is sort of depressing. Their initiation rates
are higher, their durations are longer, and everyone hubby and I went while
we were sightseeing we saw people breastfeeding babies of all ages and
without being discreet. They just breastfed. It was great.

Many thanks to NMAA for inviting me, and to Maureen Minchin in Melbourne for
asking to speak at the ALCA Victoria conference after one of their speakers
got sick.
