I've been searching the archives for a reference to the use of I123 for a
thryoid scan. Baby is 8 months old, exclusively breastfed. Mom shows 1 cm
growth on "enlarged thyroid". I've consulted Hale 97 ed. and it shows 1/2
life is 13.2 hours. Any other recommendations? Pharmacist recommended
pumping and dumping for "four or five half-lives!" Also 15 month old with
slow weight gain and weird stools since birth being worked up for celiac
disease. I also considered cystic fibrosis based on the description of the
stools but this is a very slight, thin baby. Have explored all other SWG
possibilities. Mom eliminated dairy many months ago, but baby and she eat
lots of bread, meat, crackers, etc. If it is celiac, wheat is a no-no. It
will take two weeks for the test results? Ideas anyone?
