Well, obviously I offended ICEA-ers and ASPO-ers. None was intended, I can
assure you. I was characterizing based on what I have observed for years.
I am very pleased to hear that ASPO has a goal of non-medicalizing birth,
and that RNs and non-RNs are part of both organizations.
However, my concern that LCs will split as these two groups are split
remains. Perhaps when I attend BOTH their conferences this year, I will
see that their differences are far less than used to be the case. Thanks
for alerting me to this. I will certainly check it out....
