Hi Linda,
Perhaps asking questions of the moms we work with will help us to figure our
their preferred method of learning... offer them a few different ways to help
them, charts, demonstrations, hands-on examples... then let them decide what
works best for them, so as not to make them feel pressured to use a method
they don't like. Besides, as you pointed out, we all learn better if you
employ all of these methods. I was also told the more of our senses you
involve, the better the learning experience, to put it another way.
I do have a question. You said that a mother loses 10 IQ points and a father
5 IQ points immediately after the birth of a baby. Do we ever regain them?
What causes that to happen in the first place? If a mother has numerous
children, will she continue to lose 10 IQ points per child? WOW! Now that's
a scary notion! So was my IQ 40 points higher prior to having children???? I
must have been a genius!!! LOL
