Hello all,
A question I have been asked : a woman had been told not to use frozen
breastmilk because the loss of vitamins - and use ABM instead. I'm sure
that occasional feeds of frozen bm are perfectly OK - just like frozen meat
or vegetables - sure fresh is better, but so what - sometimes you need the
frozen stuff. But what would you say about using mainly frozen bm? My first
reaction was that frozen bm is no doubt better than fresh ABM - but how
much or how long would really cause vitamin shortage for the baby? Do you
have any information about what happens to bm when you freeze it?
TIA
