The address for writing to USPS starts off with "CTC"
CTC stands for Celebrate the Century.
People are being asked to vote on subjects they would like to see
commemorated for the decade of the Fifties.
How about, although this isn't one of the suggested ideas, La Leche
League International because it began in 1956.
There are five categories, People and Events, Arts and Entertainment,
People and Events, Sports, Sciene and Technology, and Sports.
I think the rediscovery of breastfeeding would fit in at least three of
these categories!
I think this might be a good starting point.
The official ballots need to be postmarked by Feb. 28, you can get the
ballot at the local post office. Our idea for a new concept really has no
deadline, but wouldn't it be cool if the Stamp Advisory Committee got
lots of requests for a breastfeeding stamp before/at the deadline?
If anyone needs the address for submitting an idea, please email me.
If anything here needs further clarification, please email me.
