I too have heard this before.  Is the acne causing problems (infection,
scratching)?  My guess is that it isn't.  Mom may be bothered by the way it
looks only.  This is not a reason to stop nursing.
The rashes that babies get on the face are often merely hormonal in origin and
are not harmful.
