My then 13 month old had hand foot and mouth disease in April this
year, it was so bad that the sores were bleeding in her mouth and on
her buttocks, I was breastfeeding initally, I didn't get infected
anywhere.  She weaned herself after refusing  to breastfeed for 10
days, I tried to relactate a few times after a few weeks and then a
few months, no success.  It was devasting I must say.
