Hi all! merry Christmas!!!
Does anyone know of articles on baby with reflux being related to mom's diet? i.e. dairy, beef, eggs, etc - baby refluxes worse? I have had a couple of moms whose babies have BAD reflux. When they stopped dairy, beef and eggs, the reflux decreased significantly. Our nutritionist became concerned with my advice to a mom to try cutting out the above foods for a couple of weeks to see if there is any improvement in baby's reflux. She was worried that I was placing too big of a burden on the mom to cut these things from her diet (the mom didn't seem to have a problem with it). Our nutritionist would like to see articles supporting this relationship between moms diet and baby's reflux - until then, she remains unconvinced and unsupportive.
Thanks,
Dani Hudspeth RN, BSN, IBCLC
