Do you think perhaps its the high iron content of oatmeal that might be causing the lactogigic effect?  Mom is anemic, eats oatmeal, has higher Hgb, and therefore more milk.

This was suggested by one of my "official" lactation consultants, who has also been pushing oatmeal, learning about it through nutritional avenues, and who isn't even a member of Lactnet.
