It's possible the bleeding is from benign tumors - intraductal papillomas.
While a lot of doctors say having them in both breasts is unusual, it does
happen (I've had one in each breast).
They most commonly bleed during pregnancy and/or lactation.
Ruth Lawrence says not to nurse because of the amount of blood the baby would
ingest, however, I think there have been other opinions on this matter.
This is my guess on what is going on with this mom.
