Crisco is an ingrediant used in cooking, its very thick and greasy,
sometimes it is called lard. It has a very high fat content.

Crisco is solid, vegetable fat (shortening), lard is pig fat, suet is cow fat.
Crisco is a name brand and is made of soybean oil that has been whipped into a
solid mass. There are now different varieties of Crisco, but the original is
soya.
