For inquiring minds, wondering about the odd use of the word "deuce" in the
ode to Jack: from the American Heritage Dictionary;
deuce: Informal. n.
2. An outstanding example, especially of something difficult or bad.
3. A severe reprimand or expression of anger.
4. Informal. Used as an intensive.
Probably a good thing I decided on "deuce" to use as a rhyme for "papoose",
so I didn't have to use my original line about Dr Jack's pet "moose".
