This is my first mail to LACTNET. Until now I have been happy to simply
read and absorb this amazing flow of information from around the world.
I live on an island in the Gulf of Carpentaria in Australia. I've been here
for almost 12 months and just love the lifestyle and the people. I have
been a Counsellor with NMAA for around 6 years, Group Leader, etc., and
editor of the Counsellor's bulletin in NSW and the NT (Editor for the NT
now).... ( I am always looking for interesting things for the Counsellors'
Newsletter, so feel free to send information or articles that I can
reprint, to my Email address).
I live with my husband, Steve and 4 children, Kieran, Aaron, Rhys & Caitlyn
aged 7-12. Apart from my NMAA work, I edit and proofread various
publications and am very involved with school and the community in general.
I am an advocate for breastfeeding wherever I am and love the fact that,
where I live, breastfeeding is seen as the most natural and safe way (in
the tropics) to feed a baby. I'm sure that I'll still be a Member of NMAA
when I'm 101, although, hopefully I will have worked myself out of a job as
a Counsellor!

Querida David, Alyangula, NT
