On the surface, I too would not want to have to teach such a class, BUT
actually if the person teaching the 6 wks prenatal series were an IBCLC,
I would be glad. If you are not promoting the formula or the
bottlefeeding, it is not a violation of the CODE or a conflict of
interest, I wouldn't think.  I agree with the other person that said you
would give the breastfeeding truth and the formula truth and just say
matter of factly this is how to prepare the formula, emphasizing the
risks of contamination, improper dilution , etc that cause many problems
and let them know that the skin to skin etc will be missed and needs to
be made up for, and that mom loses important benefits as well.  Someone
else may teach this class and give the formula is just as good talk. You
would do a much better job.
