I contacted Divers Alert Network who said that there is no evidence
supporting any increased risk of shark attraction to breastmilk. They felt
the volume would be small enough not to be of concern. My feeling is that
a proper fitting wetsuit would contain the milk well enough (as illustrated
by the story Beckett Miller posted :-).

The pressure from depth is evenly distributed, so I'm not personally
convinced that would be a factor in mastitis. Dive gear, on the other
hand, is somewhat awkwardly distributed (even when it fits properly).
Mastitis could also be caused by the time between feedings -- the boat ride
out, preparing for and making the dive, post-dive wrap-up, and returning to
shore can easily take up 1/2 day. Just some thoughts.
