Yikes! Progestin will likely LOWER her supply, not raise it!  (Please hit this guy upside the head with a copy of Dr. Lawrence's book, the LAM research from Dr. Labbok, and any other heavy textbook on lactation you can find.  ONLY KIDDING - don't really do this. Provide the research information nicely, grinning through gritted teeth if necessary.)

Without frequent, thorough milk removal, the other methods are a drop in the bucket. Mom probably needs to pump more often to keep the breast relatively "empty" which will increase the rate of milk synthesis. 8 times a day may not be enough. 100-140 minutes per day (in 8-12 or more bunches, not all at once) are good minimums and have reference support. Make sure the pressures on the pump are adequate, and that she pumps till the milk stops dripping each time.
