Metoclopramide does *not* usually cause uterine contractions. This is
*not* an oxytocin like drug. It does have significant other side
effects in some women, though the majority do not. These include
fatigue, irritability, and other central nervous system effects, and,
apparently after long periods on the drug, depression.
Chlorpromazine can enhance lactation at any time. I am not sure where
this physician gets his/her ideas on pharmacology. Being a major
tranquilizer, it can have all the side effects of these drugs,
including some of the above mentioned for metoclopramide.
