Dear Lactnetters,
I have recently had a situation come up that I'm not entirely
sure how to deal with.
I posted a profile of myself on AOL (which I won't use for
lactnet until they solve their problems), and have had some "interesting"
conversations via instant message. I know that others of you have
submitted profiles on AOL, because I looked up "lactation" and saw
familiar names. Have others had this happen too?
This person (state name)Dom4U (actual screen name) started by
asking how to meet lactating women. I told him to find someone, get
married and have children. He asked whether a woman "can be MADE (my
emphasis) to lactate, other than preg". I stated that I prefer to discuss
with the woman involved, and that he sounded like a pervert. Since I
rarely shrink from a good argument, I let him know that for most women,
this is not sexually stimulating; in fact b/f can lower libido. This was
after he told me that he "LOVES (his emphasis) watching B/F".
Do these perverts contact others as well? Should I report the
conversation to AOL? Should I warn breastfeeding women that some
perverts "get off" on breastfeeding women? Is this a concern for
breastfeeding in public?

        Sincerely,

Margie on line, who is contemplating removing my profile from AOL
