Liz I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying. I am not
concerned personally about whether hospitals rent out pumps or not. I am in
the (fortunate, I guess) situation of being pretty well surrounded by
hospitals here in Boston, some of them rent out pumps, others don't. Since
none of them does MEdicaid, and most of my rentals are Medicaid, I'm not
really affected anyway. My question was academic. If we are talking about
conflict of interest/in house LCs renting pumps - isn't a hospital rental
station an obvious conflict of interest? I guess it depends, as you say. If
it is staffed around the clock with competent LCs, great. If on the other
hand it is in the gift shop.....
