Mother is right to reject nutramigen. What is wrong with a hemoglobin
of 9.6 g% at 14 weeks of age. This is perfectly appropriate. Don't the
doctors know about "physiologic anaemia"? If they don't they should not
be suggesting the baby go off breast.
Occasional blood in stool may be do to the so called "foremilk-hindmilk
imbalance". Longer feedings on the affected side, with compression to
keep the baby nursing longer has "cured" a lot of babies with blood in
stools. Check for fissure as well, something often overlooked. If
nothing don't worry.
