Hi everyone,
Last night on the 11:00 news, I saw a story on a mother cat who was
nursing baby squirrels and they were thriving. Don't know the biology
of this, but thought it interesting. Apparently the squirrels were
orphaned, and the mother cat found them, brought them home to her
kittens and adopted them. I am not a cat person, but this definitely
brought cats up a notch in my estimation!! I always say to my classes,
"Mother dogs don't use kitten milk nor mother cats, puppy milk. We are
the only mammal who drinks the milk of another mammal." Maybe not!
Amused near Philadelphia where it is not yet fall.
