just when i read various happy posts about how comments in the media, etc.,
must mean that lactation is getting more mainstream acceptance, and i feel
like scrooge, perhaps others are reading too much into this - then i open the
sunday paper and see a nationally syndicated political cartoon by someone
named toles. i might actually begin to believe in a boom in acceptance!
the cartoon says it is from the buffalo news and shows two guys at a bar, and
is entitled health report. one guy reads from the paper "says here that eating
fish can cut your risk of heart attack in half."
next panel, the other man says, "I knew that, i've been eating fish for
years."
first man, "Yeah? Well what makes YOU so SMART?"
bartender asks other man, "refill on that glass of BREAST milk?"
tiny little figures at bottom of cartoon; one says, make mine a double.
for once, a really relevant political cartoon. anybody in buffalo know the
address etc.? after all, goodness should be rewarded.
