I don't disagree with you, Dr. Jack, but it would seem that the
guidelines would be evidence in a malpractice suit, i.e. not conclusive,
but persuasive.

Yes, we did discuss this topic (again, I had wanted to post privately on
this issue.)  Perhaps as breastfeeding becomes widely practiced and
accepted, and the public and judiciary recognizes the value of BF,  these
suits might become viable. (Think of a jury with all moms who had
breastfed or men whose partners did so.) Also even if the mother doesn't
win, it sends a message.
