Did the decrease in supply correlate with starting the birth control pills?

I would consider an SNS, fairly constant skin to skin contact, frequent
nursings about every 1 1/2 hours, breast compressions and pumping after
each feeding to increase the supply

ANY hormonal birth control can decrease supply, we have discussed this
before. Why can't the mom use a barrier method for a while?
Many women are told that the hormonal methods will not reduce milk supply
so they choose these methods for convenience. If there is an effect, and
it is shared with her in a non-judgemental way, perhaps she will consider
a somewhat less convenient method. Once the baby is eating a variety of
table foods a decrease in supply might not be quite as much of a
problem. Mom could then go back to the hormonal method.
