Several people have written saying that their menses returned early even
though they nursed frequently.

Of course, some women's menstrual periods return very early even if they do
everything "right" in terms of frequent feeding, especially at night, no
pacifiers, no finger sucking, no solids, no supplementary bottles.  But this
is one end of a continuum, and there aren't very many women at that end.  It
is much more common for the menses to return early because of infrequent
nursing.  Especially when, as previously posted, the milk supply diminishes
at the same time.  Also, remember when we're talking about frequent nursing,
we mean up to several to many times an hour, not once every 2 hours.
