think some of us may take issue with that."  Yes, indeed!  I have a case
history where estrogen patches were used from Day 1 postpartum to ward of
postpartum depression and I am convinced that this caused low weight gain in
the baby and elevated bilirubin levels.  The rate of gain doubled when mom
came off the patches.  The prescribing obstetrician was quite sure that this
would not cause any untoward effects on lactation, and that it had been
researched, but I have never been able to find any references.  I am so
interested in this.  Does this article quote references?  If so, could we
have them, please??
