The AMA has less members than it did a decade ago. Not as many physicians
are joining this professional organization these days or renewing their
membership. Maybe medical school debt combined with other factors has led to
this. Perhaps as more and more physicians have become specailized they feel
joining their specialty organization is enough. So it is understandable that
the AMA has had to brainstorm other ways of generating revenue.
But it does make one sit on the edge of the seat wondering exactly what else
they might endorse! Thanks for this alert.
