>PS. I HAD A LADY @ THE CDC THE OTHER DAY ASK ME IF I COULD HAVE HELPED HER
>WITH HER PUPPY THAT HAD A CLEFT PALATE..IT DIED ON DAY THREE. (PROBABLY
>NOT) I DID NOT KNOW DOGS HAD THOSE!!!
Another LC has a neighbor boy the age of her daughter. He's grown up
around all her bfing and childbirth info. When his dog had puppies, he
reported back to her:
"She seemed to be having trouble with one, so I put a hot compress on her
perineum. Did I do the right thing? Then I noticed that one of the
puppies wasn't sucking well." The vet checked it out and found a cleft of
the soft palate. How many 15 year old American boys could diagnose a
sucking problem in a puppy?
