Good evening fellow lactnetters, I would like to take the opportunity to
introduce myself, as this is my first letter to the list. I joined lactnet in
August and have been busy trying to keep up with all the great information. I
consider it a priveledge to be able to take part in this very useful
discussion group.
I am currently in a position as a full time lactation consultant at Brigham and
Woman's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I have three children
ages 9, 10 and 12 who are my greatest teachers. I am a registered nurse and
woman's health nurse practitioner, however, no work gives me more joy or
satisfaction than helping families learn to breastfeed.
I need to ask your patience with me as I am a novice internet user and although
I will try to keep all the rules straight, I may make a errors and I ask your
forgiveness in advance.
I was wondering if anyone has noticed an increase incidence of recurrent yeast
needing major intervention and I would also like to know if anyone has any
recent experience with HIV positive mothers breastfeeding? Thanks, Kate
