Donna,
Look in the archives for breastmilk colitis.  An "old-timer"
gastroenterologist said this was somewhat common in the days when
everyone bf, and it was ignored as long as the baby was doing well.  I
have a mom in my practice right now who is following this advice, since
the quantity of blood in the stool is small, and the baby is thriving.
Other allergens that might be affecting these babies include wheat,
eggs, and/or peanuts.  Your client might be willing to try eliminating
these foods since dairy was not the culprit.
