Hi all,

Awhile back, I was nomail at the time, Oprah had a show about children
being too old for certain things, breastfeeding was one. It was probably
addressed here, but a friend just called and said that Oprah did a show
again, some of her "best" moments, I guess, and this segment was on again.

The 2 pediatricians said that this child should not be nursing at 3 years
old, and that weaning should be done immediately. Another segment of the
same show had the same pediatricians saying that a child of the same age
should not be forced to toilet train, but would do so when she was ready.

Here's my question. Did anyone write to Oprah when this show aired with
the facts? I would think if she had gotten lots of negative feedback on
this, she would not have run it again, especially without a disclaimer.
Does anyone have Oprah's email, I think someone needs to set her straight.
She is a very influential presence on TV, many people listen to her, and
are getting the wrong message about breastfeeding, and particularly about
nursing a toddler.
