I have been following this thread with much interest. I have 5 children
and only with one did my menses return early - 11 wks. I have leaned
toward weight gain as the reason, also. This was the only pregnancy
during which I gained a large amount of weight - 50 lbs - and kept it
on for some time. I also experienced severe hot flashes at night
postpartum and vicious nausea with MER. I have been looking for an
answer to this scenerio as I can see many woman weaning if they had to
deal with these symptoms.
I have read that excess weight will influence estrogen levels (as in; it
is a good idea not to be underweight entering menopause, symptons will
be milder with some extra weight on your bones), also realize that
oxytocin of MER can produce nausea.
Any professionals able to comment? Has anyone else experienced this or
had a client with these problems?
