Hello,

I am asking for information for an LLL Leader friend of mine. She
has had late developing milk supply and labor problems with both her
children and is currently being tested for low oxytocin levels. In
the meantime, her Midwife has prescribed syntocin.

I have checked the archives, and although I found some helpful
information, I was not able to find answers to key questions of hers,
which are: how long she should take syntocin, and what side effects
might she expect besides post-nasal drip and the rebound
effect (both of which I found in the archives)?

I also noticed that Syntocin was or is not available. Is this still
true, as the Midwife prescribed it?

Any and all info would be helpful. My friend used to be on LACTNET
herself, but because does not currently have a modem she cannot
access it herself. She asked me to post because of all the great
information she has found in the past.

Thank you;
Sandra Thorne LLL Leader
