Hi everyone,
Well, the kitten is back with her mom. My husband came home today and
said the mother cat was back at the original "nest". He said she was
outside of the box just looking sad---looking like she was waiting for
her kitten. I brought the kitten back, and she accepted her. My
children are heartbroken, and I must admit I am too. We all grew
attached, and the kitten was doing very well. At this point, we all were
expecting our new "baby" to be with us permanently. We had been doing so
well, I questioned returning the kitten as she had a good home with
us----the mom cat is a stray, but when I saw the mom scoop her kitten up,
I knew she was waiting for her. Of course, now I am worried that the
kitten might be nipple confused. My husband will keep an eye on the
family from a distance.
I just wanted to update you and thank those of you again who offered
advice and encouragement on the care of the kitten. We all have an empty
place in our hearts at the moment.
Aloha,
Gloria Thai LLLLeader Hawai'i
