I agree with the doctors who take offense when we "bash them" regarding
BF.  There are some wonderful doctors who really support
BF (not just give lip service.)  Many doctors, however, will not admit
that they
know little about BF or infant nutrition.  Instead of working WITH
LCs, they will give outdated or poor advise.  We are constantly
belittled by the medical community.  Examples:  When you get your MD,
come back and talk with me.  Hello SUSAN, I'm DR. Smith.  (And we're the
same age.)  I've done very well without an LC's help up to now, thank
you.

Yes, it can be pretty frustrating.  I would suggest some mutual respect
and understanding.  I absolutely welcome the docs to Lactnet!
