     Hello all,
Nofia Altman's post re: insufficient milk syndrome caused me to recall
that Jay Gordon, MD IBCLC gave a very interesting & entertaining talk
on this topic at the LLLI conference in Washington in July 1997. The
reference list he used had been provided through the LLLI Center for
Breastfeeding Information. The list included citations from magazines,
parenting books and professional journals. The latter included a
number of debates on the existence of the syndrome as well as
biocultural explanations. Perhaps the quickest way to access either a
conference session audiotape or to find out about access to the LLLI
Information Center would be to check the LLLI Website at
     www.lalecheleague.org. Good luck!
