Hi,
This mom has a 4 month old and has had problems (plugged ducts,
mastitis, sore nipples, fussy baby) since the birth.
Before , during pregnancy and currently she has had a history of
vaginal yeast infections. (I don't know if this means anything but she
worked in a bakery before the birth of her baby and her husband still
works in a bakery)
There is no obvious white cheesy film in the baby's mouth but she said
there is a sore in the baby's mouth and the tougue looks white.
She has called a couple of Dr's and both said they don't think it's
thrush. They say it could be teething or an ear infection.
I don't think they know what they are talking about.
I purchased the Lactation Consultant Series paper about Candidiasis &
Breastfeeding and from her symptoms and history of recurrent yeast
infections I feel yeast has probably contributed to her problems all
along. What do you think?
I think she is getting discouraged and really needs some REAL HELP!
Please , any suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks,
Angie Albert LLLeader in Viroqua WI
