I forgot to put in my post that the mother could be checked for diabetes
or thyroid disease.  But I got the impression that she is just naturally
thin, but just a little more so right now.  My neighbor, with a thriving
bf 5 wk old, just came over saying the same thing. Family is concerned
with her thinness and blames the bf. But she has always been thin, and
when I met her mother, she looked like a skinny teenager too.
