Star:  Although there may be higher bacterial counts with milk stasis, I
would be very reluctant to jump to the conclusion that milk from a mother
who hasn't nursed for hours be dumped.  Of course, this requires further
study, but until definitive answers are in from studies which demonstrate
clearly that mother's milk from stasis is related to poorer outcomes than
artificial feeding, I am going to continue (to borrow from Dr. Newman) to
hold mother's milk innocent until proven guilty and vice versa for abm.
