None other than Ruth Lawrence addressed the nicotine patch at the ILCA
conference.  She doesn't consider the patch a problem, or at least no more
a problem than nicotine from the cigarettes would be.  The mom, of course,
shouldn't smoke while using the patch or she doubles her dose.  And she
should take the patch off at night since she doesn't smoke while she
sleeps.  If the mom's doctor wants to talk to Dr Lawrence's Lactation Study
Center in Rochester, the number is 716-275-0088.
