Dear Pearl there is a mistaking impression that pertussiss is wiped out.  It
isn't; it is under controll because of vaccinations. Perhaps someone from
Britain or a public health department  would comment.  When pertussiss
vaccinations decreased in Britain, previously whooping cough cases escalated.
