I wish you all could have been on a phone line with me when I told the
mother that she could feed her 9-month old baby. I read to her a couple of
posts that I had copied from the Archives. She interrupted me and said,
"You mean I can nurse him now?" I said, "Yes."

She dropped the phone and I heard her saying, "Come here sweetie, you can
have nummies right now. Oh, it's been so long, hasn't it?" I could hear
the baby crying at first... then a beautiful silence. When she came back to
the phone she expressed her gratitude, then added,"I don't think I *ever*
want to wean my baby. I just love nursing him."

Those of you who remember my post about the very busy, wealthy women who are
all friends will be happy to know that this mother is one of them.

This is a good work that we do.
