About 2 months ago I added another "sacrificing bf" story about a mom
being told to wean r/t pregnancy. She decided to continue nursing after
getting info from me and sharing it w/ MD. The sad news is she had a
miscarriage due to a fetal anomaly. She relayed to me that being able
to breastfeed her toddler, who helped relieve the engorgement when her
milk came in, was a great comfort both physically and emotionally. The
thought of weaning her toddler for naught would have added to her loss.
A sad but powerful reason to support women who wish to bf during
pregnancy.
ILCA conference was wonderful, especially when my friends and I made a
point of mixing with others rather than always sitting next to each
other. I look forward to having everyone in my town next year. We may
be hot and humid, but we do have an ocean breeze.
