I read the following in the Edmonton Journal, Oct.1, 1997 p.3.

"Family dining is taking on new meaning at one restaurant chain.
        Swiss Chalet announced Tuesday it plans to promote breastfeeding for
nursing mothers and has launched a new baby-friendly campaign as part of
World Breastfeeding Week.
        Signs designating restaurants as breastfeeding-friendly will be posted
at 148 locations across Canada. There will be no segregated seating
areas for mothers with babies to feed."

Way to go, whoever is responsible for this!
