I feel that it is essential to have a list of question before me when I
talk to moms on the phone. I call all of our moms 2-5 days after
discharge, if you just ask , hows the breastfeeding going they will say
fine, but I have a specific list of question on a form that I use and
this form becomes part of their hospital medical record. *If* I feel
theres anything not quite right, I have them come in and see me or make
a ped appt for that day, and I call the ped office to verify that the pt
actually made the appt.
