Greetings to all,
As for feeding frequency, with all my babies, I fed very
frequently, countless times during the day and often 5-6 or more times at
night, and still had 19 bouts of blocked ducts/mastitis with just my first
child. I learnt how to treat them early enough to avoid having full blown
mastitis and needing antibiotics. My first child, Belinda, refused to eat
any
solids till about 11 months, and it was easier to just feed. She became
weaned with the help of my mother in law (stayed with us for a week) who
considered her at 2yrs and with me pregnant, ready to be weaned. BTW I
didn't get my periods back till 14 and a half months with each child and
used lam/breastfeeding/natural planning with my third child -- so it really
worked for me! -- I only have 3 kids!
