Opal,
I agree that we need to value our services. However, $65 or more would
be out of the question where I live. I charge $40 for 90 minutes (which
almost always runs to 2hrs). Often, people will tell me that they would
rather just try calling LLL or see if someone at the hospital will help
them for free. Of course, I recommend that they call me later if they
need more assistance, but I lose many people because they see $40 as
just too much to spend on something they should be able to "read a book
about." I'm raising my fees to $50 soon. I hope I won't put myself out
of business!
